Chandler's pen wound- June 8th, 2009

Hayden and Chandler were having a pen fight and Chandler was holding his pen with the writing point towards his palm. Well, as they were having their little pen fight the pen lodged in Chandler's hand. He had to go to the emergency room to have it removed, cleaned, and stitched. The nurses and doctors there liked it because it was something they hadn't ever seen before. So everyone had to come take a look. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the pen sticking out of his hand, but it was lodged 2" in the heel of his palm at an angle. So just imagine a black ink pen sticking out of his hand. It was weird looking!!! Luckily there was no nerve damage. We weren't sure at first because he couldn't feel his ring finger, but about a week later the feeling was back.

Memorial Weekend- May 25, 2009

We visited three cemeteries (Logan, Hyrum, and Lewiston) to put flowers on the graves of relatives and ancestors. John's dad is buried in the Logan cemetery. So are other relatives of his. At the Lewiston cemetery (where a 4th great grandfather is buried of mine -Jolene) the kids found pinecones and starting having a pinecone fight. Along with wrestling... They are boys....

Preschool Graduation Party- May 22, 2009

Bridger's last day of preschool they had a graduation party at Willow Park. Bridger had a fun year with all his preschool friends!!! Now he is excited for kindergarten!!

WILDCAT RUN -MAY 22, 2009

Ryland and Mom (Jolene) participated in the Wildcat Run at Woodruff Elementary. Each year the school does a 1 mile run and each grade has their own separate race (Kindergarten just does a half mile). Parents are welcomed to run with their children. So Ryland and Mom ran with the first graders! Everyone was winners for participating!!!

Alex's 19th birthday- May 21, 2009

For Alex's 19th birthday he got the dvd "BOLT" Then the next day we went to Chili's for dinner. Alex invited his girlfriend to come with us. She is a wonderful girl!!! Alex's birthday is on May 21st but we went out for dinner on on 22nd.

Ryland's Piano Recital- April 24th, 2009

Ryland began piano lessons at the beginning of this school year. He is quite good and his piano teacher calls him her 'little Beethoven'. He can play by ear and he picks out the most random songs- "Eye of the Tiger", "Don't Go Sharing Your Emotions (lay all your love on me)" from Mama Mia, some SpongeBob song- "It's the Best Day Ever", and "Land Before Time" Theme Songs. He usually sings along with them. Anyway, he had his first recital and he played the Mickey Mouse March song for it. All the students played Disney songs. It was fun and they all did a great job!
Most the family went to support Ryland. There is a slideshow of it to the side, if you want to look.

CHANDLER' S 17th BIRTHDAY- April 22, 2009

On Chandler's 17th birthday he got to go to school. He was hoping I would excuse him for the day, but I told him I wouldn't. Which turned out good because he had a track meet that day and ended up taking first place in pole-vaulting!! For dinner we had Costa Vida and then Chandler had mutual. When he got home we sang Happy Birthday and had his Tres Leche Cake. Same cake Hayden chose for his birthday. They love that cake!! His friend, Jesse came over too because he knew we where having Tres Leche Cake. And yes, Chandler got the next day of school off.
